Support Options
Support the CCA
The Charleston Concert Association is a non profit presenting organization that relies on tax-deductible contributions to support its productions and its education programs. Each year individuals, foundations, corporations, and government agencies contribute to our success. Philanthropic gifts account for about 40% of the annual costs of producing a full season of performances and education programs for students, whose ages range from primary school through college.
Financial support by those who believe in the work of the Charleston Concert Association truly makes all that we do possible.
Please support our efforts in one of the following ways:
- Gifts are always appreciated and can be designated for various projects, such as, General Operating, Music Education, Outreach, or Sponsor a Student.
- Become a concert sponsor ($5,000). Sponsorships are available at various giving levels.
- Consider planned giving as a way to remember the Concert Association in your will. Donors receive potential income benefits, tax savings and charitable advantages.
- Join the Intermezzo Club at $500 per person. Enjoy the company of other concert goers at intermission and enjoy a luscious spread of sensational desserts, champagne, wine, and sparkling water. With a purchase two Intermezzo Club memberships, you will also receive a VIP Parking Pass.
Individual Giving
All levels of contributions are appreciated and are important to the success of the Charleston Concert Association. Memberships and ticket sales generally cover 60% of operating costs. Individual donations and sponsorships satisfy the remaining 40%.
Planned Giving
Consider including the CCA in your estate plan or personal will. This pledge of support will allow you to enjoy the financial rewards today while enabling the CCA to present internationally acclaimed performances and education opportunities to our community in the future.
Planned gifts include naming the CCA as the beneficiary of a will, IRA or life insurance policy, or investing in a charitable remainder trust or gift annuity. This may provide a tax deduction for your family estate or allow for possible income for your heirs. These are ways that you can take a leadership role in building the financial security of the Charleston Concert Association.
The present value of any approved planned gift irrevocably naming the Charleston Concert Association as a charitable beneficiary will be considered for named gift recognition purposes.

Matching Gifts
Many corporations offer the benefit of matching the personal philanthropy of their employees. Please check with your employer to see if you are eligible. Typically, employers will provide a matching gift form that you complete and send with your gift. This can sometimes double your personal gift and provide extra benefit to the CCA at no extra cost to you.
Stock Transfers
Avoid the dreaded capital gains tax by transferring appreciated stock to the CCA. This is a smart tax move as it minimizes market fluctuations, allowing you to maximize your gift to the CCA. Stock gifts are valued based on the date of transfer to the CCA’s account. Donors receive credit for the full value of the stock prior to any broker’s fees. Please send written instructions to your broker of your gift specifying that it is a charitable contribution to the Charleston Concert Association.
