Shortly after its founding in 1997, it was clear that an elite orchestra had been born, consisting of musicians from the Berlin and Munich Philharmonics; the Salzburg Mozarteum; and the Munich, Stuttgart, Hamburg and Hanover State Operas. The evening features Julliard graduate Orion Weiss, a rising star in the firmament of great pianists.
